We decided to put together a CD to celebrate two of the LUV TRAIN members landmark birthdays in 2011. Virginia had most of the lyrics aided by Larry . Virginia, Larry and Ryk came up the music. Then in January 2011 , they went into the studio. They also added Studio engineer , Zak Cohen’s tastey guitar lics and the amazing Tenor and Alto Sax of Pierre Komen . WOMANHOOD was written by V about a beautiful fairy like girl who wisked in and befriended many women and talked big about Women’s unity and spirituality. Our surprise was to find out that while she was begiling us with her frothy visions , she was playing around with our men. HA! I could have called this one – Cougar Town! Always remember to’ Tie up your Camel!’
TIME WARP lyrics were written by L&V about all the wild a crazy party’s that we all partook in when we were young. – Somewhere along the line , most of us pulled back the reigns of party time and got off the merry-go-round , because of the hangovers, wasted money and lost relationships.
PASSION OFF IT’S LEASH is the age old story of new love – all consuming , fever pitch love and passion that’s running wild. It’s really the love story of Larry and Virginia!
YOUNGER DAYS was written by V , when she was sooo sick with kidney failure, losing hope , but reaching out for a higher power. She once was very spiritual , but in the last few years it feels like it has slipped away and now she wants it back. This song was inspired by our experience in the Gospel Choir.
